2020 is SHOW YEAR!

We're super excited, because 2020 is show year! Our shows get bigger and bigger every year, and this year is no different. Now at Bolton Albert Halls, this show is set to be our biggest yet!
Aspire Shows are a great way to show off how amazing your children are, we can't wait to see you there!
Our staff and volunteers are working extra hard in the background, so to help everything go as smoothly as possible we've set this page up to provide as much information as possible. Below you you see a list of Q & A's - some is just a confirmation of the original show letter/consent forms and some extra information too - we'll keep adding to this so please check here before getting in touch, just in case we've already answered your questions.
Show 2020 - Frequently Asked Questions...
How many costumes will I need to purchase?

This year our costume pricing has changed. Your child will be billed for the amount of costumes required for the classes they undertake. The costumes are yours to keep, or you can sell them on afterwards if you prefer.

As a guide, based on the classes your child takes, the costs will be:

Ballet / Tap - 2 costumes required @ £25.00-£30 each. Total - between £50.00-60.00

Contemporary - 1 costume - Total between - £25-£30.00

Lyrical - 1 costume - Total between £25.00-£30

Street / Commercial - 3 costumes @ £25-30 each. Total between £75-90.00

Drama - 1 costume. Total between £20-25.00

Please note that depending on the cost of some costumes, you may find these come as a 2 in 1, where part of the costume is used in another routine.

Will my show costume invoices be the same cost every time?
​
No, we have tried to spread the costs where we can but also tried to avoid a higher payment before and after Christmas. Please calculate an approximate cost for your child based on the guide above.

When will the rest of the show costumes be billed?
​
The last 2 payments will be April and June.
When are the compulsory extra rehearsal dates?
​
The following rehearsals will take place at our Westhoughton studios on the following dates and times:

Sunday 31st May 11-4
Sunday 7th June 11-4
Sunday 14th June 11-4
Sunday 21st June 11-4
Sunday 28th June 11-4
Plus - Friday 3rd July, 5-9 - at Bolton Albert Halls - Dress Rehearsal

Will there be an extra charge for these rehearsals?
​
Yes, we have tried to keep the costs down as much as possible so this will be charged at £20.00 per child for the 5 weeks. This will be invoiced in May.
Will I have to purchase any additional items for the show?
Yes, children will need to have Jazz shoes, Ballet /Tap shoes (if you take these classes), shimmer tights (girls) and New Yorkers for the Senior girls
When do tickets go on sale?

Around the 1st April - more details will be released nearer the time.

Can I stay with my child backstage?
Unfortunately not. We are only allowed to have registered chaperones backstage. No parent helpers are allowed backstage at the Albert Halls. If you wish to volunteer to become a registered chaperone please get in touch at admin@aspiredanceandstage.co.uk for more details.
My child has only learned one dance, why?
Your child will be learning routines right up until showtime.
Which show will my child be taking part in?
Infants - Saturday 4th July (Afternoon matinee)
Inter / Senior - Saturday 4th July (Evening show) and Sunday 5th July (Afternoon matinee)

If you are not sure which show your child will be taking part in please ask reception to check with your child’s class teacher.

My child is in a drama group, which show will they be in?
This is yet to be confirmed but we are planning for the Monday 5-6 drama group to be performing in the Saturday afternoon matinee and a song in the Saturday evening show. All other groups would be in the Saturday evening show.
